On this day in 1994 The Queens Own Highlanders (Seaforth and Camerons) and The Gordon Highlanders officially amalgamated together at Dreghorn Barracks in #Edinburgh. The new Regiment they were to form was named ‘The Highlanders’ (Seaforth, Gordons and Camerons). The Highlanders were amalgamated again 12 years later with the remainder of the Scottish infantry Regiments to form ‘The Royal Regiment of Scotland’.
