MOURNING DOVE AMBASSADORS: “CooOOoo-ooo-ooo-ooo” is a noise you might have heard before in your neighborhood. It almost sounds like an owl hooting, but it’s actually a mourning dove! They like to hang out on telephone wires and in trees. Mourning doves are named for their call, which some people think sounds sad, as if they’re in mourning.
