On Christmas Eve 1800, the Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal in what was then an industrial corridor in Wales saw its first cargo journey. 📦🎄 Now it attracts around three million visitors each year. For its 225th anniversary, people celebrated with lantern parades and illuminated floats.
