The wheel slip is something that has occured ever since steam locomotives were invented in the early 18 hundreds and were operated by human beings. 2926s very large 80 inch diameter drivers only contact the rail with a meer couple inches of their diameter. The steel on steel contact only forms traction via the locomotives extreme weight, but if the engines power overwhelm's that weight the drivers will spin in place.
