Update on wombat Eve... The wombat rescued from Lake Burley Griffin in Canberra - we kept her for observation for 2 days and then found her a vacant burrow. This is what we call a hard release as she is wild (not hand raised) and do not require a soft release enclosure or a gradual return to the bush We do have to try and ensure her safety as far as possible though and this burrow has been monitored for a while.
