Feb 21, 2016 · More good news - I have solved the Airport card issue. As per my research of the internet - I just reattached the Airport card more firmly - it actually clicks on each end when it is properly attached. So now the iMac G3 400 DV SE is back to full health.

Need help with an Apple iMac G3 (will not boot from CD-ROM drive.
Mar 5, 2010 · I need a help with an imac G3 (when i boot it and press command, o, f, and option it says it's a powermac2). I have a mac OS 9.2 installation disc and an OS X 10.1 installation disc (Both are CD's, not DVD's). I'm trying to put any Mac operating system on this machine and it refuses to boot from the CD-ROM drive.

Sep 22, 2017 · The best operating system will be OS 9.2, which can be upgraded to OS 9.2.2. As far as OS X, you can install Panther OS X.3.9 but nmote you do need a firmware update to install OS X. The machine will handle up to 512MB of memory, so suggest looking at auction sites for more than your anticipated 64MB.

If you mean directly run Win 98 on a Power PC Mac the answer is no. Microsoft OS's only run on X86 CPU's. What Pigoo said could work but it would be pretty slow and need OSX and Virtual PC.
