Jan 7, 2025 · On Tuesday morning, legislators in the Idaho House State Affairs Committee voted to move two items – a memorial and resolution – forward. Rep. Heather Scott, R-Blanchard, was the first to introduce her memorial to the committee.

Heather Scott is an American biologist, businesswoman, and politician serving as a Republican member of the Idaho House of Representatives from the 1st district. She has been a member of the Idaho House since 2014.

I believe hydropower is an extremely important renewable resource for Idaho and the entire nation. I have seen firsthand how excessive government regulations curtail efforts to find smart and positive energy solutions through the endless hurdles of federal rules and agencies.

It has been my privilege to listen to issues affecting North Idaho families and businesses and work diligently to preserve your freedoms and rights. I want to continue to be the fresh, firm voice in Boise for residents of District 2.

Heather Scott is a member of the Idaho State House of Representatives and serves five counties in North Idaho (Shoshone, Bonner, Kootenai, Benewah, and Clearwater). She is in her 5th term and currently serves on the State Affairs, Environment Energy and Technology, and Judiciary and Rules Committee, where she is the vice chairman.
