While a lot of Sunday was warm and humid with a partly sunny sky, our forecast for a few thunderstorms with one or two being severe certainly came to fruition.

"The storm which prompted the warning has weakened below severe limits, and no longer poses an immediate threat to life or property. Therefore, the warning will be allowed to expire. However, gusty winds are still possible with this thunderstorm," states the NWS Wakefield VA. The warning is in effect until 3:45 p.m.

Severe thunderstorm watch was in effect for Connecticut this Sunday, as the National Weather Service alerted residents to a looming cold front. With the threat of lightning, hail, and strong gusts, the atmosphere was charged with anticipation.

MET ÉIREANN HAS issued a Status Orange rain and thunderstorm warning for Dublin, Louth and Meath, with persistent and heavy rain expected. The warning kicks in at midnight and will last until 2pm on Monday afternoon.
