Marina Mabrey and the Connecticut Sun were up by as much as 21 points in Sunday’s game against the Indiana Fever. However, thanks to a career day from WNBA All-Star Kelsey Mitchell, who scored 38 points, the Fever were able to escape with a 99-93 overtime win.
The Connecticut Sun were eliminated from WNBA playoff contention with a brutal loss before a “home” crowd, much of it was cheering Indiana.
Rachid Meziane, in his first season as head coach of the Connecticut Sun, saw his team’s playoff chances end Sunday with a 99-93 overtime loss to Kelsey Mitchell and the Indiana Fever.
