Brent Hinds, the former guitarist of Mastodon, passed away earlier this week after being involved in a motorcycle accident. And, in honour of Hinds ' life, the band dedicated their entire recent performance in Alaska last night to their ex-guitarist.

Brent Hinds, the former singer and guitarist of the heavy metal band Mastodon, has died. The 51-year-old musician was killed in a motorcycle crash around 11:35 p.m. ET on Aug. 20 in Atlanta, according to Atlanta NBC affiliate WXIA.

Mastodon drummer Brann Dailor delivered a heartfelt tribute to late ex-guitarist Brent Hinds on Friday following the band's performance at the Alaska State Fair in Palmer, Alaska — their first show since Hinds' death.
