Republicans in Congress voted to pass President Donald Trump's One Big Beautiful Bill. Here's what Kansas senators and representatives said.

Kansas lawmakers and other organizations are expressing anger or support after the U.S. House passed the Trump-backed spending bill on July 3 with a 218-214 vote. The U.S. Senate previously passed the bill in a tight 50-50 vote on July 1, with Vice President JD Vance making the tie-breaking decision.

Every senator from both sides of the state line supported the bill, which the Republican president dubbed his “big, beautiful bill.” The legislation narrowly passed the U.S. Senate on a vote of 51 to 50, with Vice President JD Vance casting the tiebreaking vote.
