Gov. Glenn Youngkin (R-VA) reassured Virginians who are losing their jobs as a result of the Trump administration’s federal workforce cuts that the state is “here to help” but defended President Donald Trump’s move as necessary to reduce government “bloat.

In his first extended remarks on the Trump cuts, Youngkin acknowledges many are anxious but says the process is needed and that state help is coming.

Chairwoman Susan Swecker says the Gov. Glenn Youngkin could learn from the example being set in neighboring Maryland.
