Two new match announcements have been made for this week’s WWE SmackDown in Dublin.
Solo Sikoa has hinted that more members could join his faction on SmackDown. The current U.S Champion has been dominating on the blue brand after reshaping the OG Bloodline in his own image and creating the My Family Tree (MFT) stable.
While Cena vs. Paul is set in stone, WWE heavily indicated that McIntyre will soon challenge undisputed WWE champion Cody Rhodes. SmackDown went off the air with McIntyre leaving Rhodes unconscious after clutching onto the champ's title.
Lane speaks about the short stint on SmackDown. Towards the back end of Lacey Lane and Kacy Catanzaro’s time with WWE, the duo were moved to Friday Night SmackDown. The former Kayden Carter and Katana Chance wrestled on two shows for the brand before being released in May 2025.
SmackDown airs tonight (Aug. 22) with a live show emanating from 3Arena in Dublin, Ireland. This is the third episode of SmackDown during the four week build towards Clash in Paris, which takes place on Aug. 31.
