Pearce continued to go back and forth with Zayn, teasing the idea of an Unsanctioned match between the two stars. Pearce eventually granted Zayn his wish, announcing that he'll face Kevin Owens in an Unsanctioned match at Elimination Chamber.

One of the most surprising news for fans was the decision to place the match between Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn at Elimination Chamber instead of the 'Showcase of the Immortals'. Their feud began after the knockout defeat in the first PLE of 2025,
