Gaza-based Palestinian group Hamas on Sunday, 19 January 2025 said that it has handed over the list of hostages to Israel as part of the Israel-Hamas, Gaza ceasefire. Earlier in the day, Israel had said that it will not initiate the decided ceasefire to stop all military campaigns in Gaza Strip since it did nt receive any list of hostages that Hamas was supposed to hand over to the Israeli authorities.

Israel and Hamas agreed to a ceasefire deal to pause the devastating war in the Gaza Strip, multiple officials announced Wednesday, raising the possibility of winding down the deadliest and most destructive fighting between the bitter enemies.
