While many will point the finger at fracking and the oil and gas industry, the cause of the 3.8 Magnitude quake will take some time through an investigation by the USGS.
The earthquake was centered in far northern Karnes County, about 12 miles east-northeast of Falls City. That’s about 45 miles southeast of the San Antonio metro area. It occurred at 9:26 p.m.
