The Iowa Racing and Gaming Commission voted 4-1 to award Cedar Rapids a license for the 20th state-licensed casino.

The Iowa Racing and Gaming Commission has granted a state license for a casino in Cedar Rapids. The vote was four-to-one. “Obviously a cataclysmic day for Cedar Rapids and Linn County,” Cedar Rapids Mayor Tiffany O’Donnell told reporters minutes after the commission’s decision.
