Anti-Islam activist Salwan Momika was shot dead in the country's capital city of Stockholm on Wednesday. Five people have been arrested following his assassination, Swedish authorities told CNN.
Momika was a known anti-Islam activist, who's burning of the holy book sparked protests in many Muslim countries in 2023.
"The investigation is still in its early stages, with extensive evidence collection underway, including forensic analysis and interrogations," the statement reads
