An investigation is underway into a crash involving a suburban Chicago police officer and his police dog, resulting in a citation for driving under the influence against Officer Raul Perez Junior.

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A medical emergency has disrupted CTA Red Line and Purple service on the North Side Wednesday morning. Red Line trains were standing at the Berwyn stop due to the medical emergency. and train service for the Red and Purple lines between Howard and Belmont was suspended.

A woman was killed by a train at the Berwyn station, leading to CTA Red and Purple Line delays and shuttle bus services between Howard and Belmont stations. The incident was later classified as a suicide.

Circumstances around the incident weren’t immediately known — but a bus shuttle was operating between the Howard and Belmont stations, CTA said.
