Royal Shakespeare Company excited to stage Roald Dahl’s ‘inspirational’ BFG - The stage adaptation by playwright Tom Wells will delight families over the festive period across a 10-week run at the Royal Shakespeare Theatre.

The BFG tells the story of a young orphan named Sophie who befriends a giant and they embark on a mission together to stop other giants from eating children. The show is the first RSC stage adaptation of a Roald Dahl novel since Matilda the Musical in 2010.

Macbeth, William Shakespeare’s iconic play, is being reimagined as an interactive video game with a neo-noir vibe — and it’s being developed in part by the Royal Shakespeare Company. The game, titled Lili, is a “screen life thriller video game” where you’ll have access to a modern-day Lady Macbeth’s personal devices, according to a press release.

Playwright Tom Wells will adapt the story about the Big Friendly Giant who captures an orphan named Sophie and brings her back to Giant Country.
