Sooners fall behind in 3rd, drop series opener to Kentucky
Oklahoma struggled to get timely hits in a series-opening loss to Kentucky. The Sooners left 10 runners stranded and a crooked third inning ended up being the difference. The Wildcats had five hits and four runs in the third and did enough to hold the Sooners off for a 4-3 win.
OU lost to the still-unranked Wildcats 4-3 last Friday, 8-5 on Saturday and 7-2 on Sunday, putting its hopes of hosting an NCAA Tournament regional on life support.
