New York City is expected to get widespread, measurable snow Sunday, with areas north and west of the city primed for up to a foot of snow. We won’t see that much snow in the immediate New York City metro area,

The weather starts to warm up today around NYC, but rain, snow and dangerously cold temperatures are on the way.

Big changes are coming over the weekend. A front will usher in our coldest weather in 2 years with below zero wind chills and the potential for some snow. Expect some rain Saturday afternoon followed by a chance for snow later Sunday as the bitter cold arrives.

The start of 2025 has been a chilly one. And temperatures have not bottomed out yet, with the coldest temperatures seen in nearly two years set to arrive next week
