Despite being without star guard Caitlin Clark and losing veteran guard Sophie Cunningham to a knee injury in Sunday's game against the Connecticut Sun, the Indiana Fever earned a hard-fought win and made some history along the way.

Kelsey Mitchell entered Sunday's matchup against the Sun fourth in the league in scoring (19.9 points per game), fourth in made 3-pointers per game (2.4), and fifth in 3-point percentage (37.7), and her performance in the Fever's 21-point comeback may have earned her a seat at the table in the MVP discussion.

Fever head coach Stephanie White said before Indiana's dramatic 99-93 overtime win over the Connecticut Sun that the organization still hopes that Clark can return before the regular season ends. "That's the hope. The hope is that she's back," White said.
