BOISE, Idaho — One person died, and another was injured when a helicopter crashed onto the ice at Ririe Reservoir Thursday afternoon, approximately 25 miles east of Idaho Falls. KTVB confirmed with the Bonneville County Coroner Shante Sanchez that the man who died is 59-year-old Bradford Brown from Alpine, Utah.

First responders traveled to the site using snowmobiles and found two people inside the helicopter, authorities said. One was dead, and the other was taken to a hospital.

The crash involved a Bell 505 helicopter and took place at the Ririe Reservoir. The coroner said Bradford Brown, 59, of Utah died in the crash.

The coroner has identified a Utah man who died after a helicopter crashed into the ice on Idaho's Ririe Reservoir Thursday evening.

The Bonneville County Sheriff's Office said the crash site is between Ririe Dam and the Blacktail Access area.

Bradford Brown, CEO and founder of Utah-based ATL Technology, was killed in a helicopter crash on February 20 at Ririe Reservoir, according to authorities.
