Uganda has ordered the closure of its border with Congo, where suspected Ebola cases are surging. A local Ugandan task force gave the order on Wednesday.

A magnitude 4.5 earthquake struck Uganda on Sunday night, sending tremors across its epicentre in central with parts of western, eastern and sections of the northern corridor reeling from one of the most widely felt seismic events in recent months.

KLM has cancelled flights to and from Entebbe airport near the Ugandan capital Kampala due to restrictions ​linked to an Ebola outbreak in Central Africa, the ‌Dutch airline said late on Friday.

The volunteers are thought to have contracted the virus during a humanitarian mission in DR Congo in March and are believed to be “among the first known victims of the outbreak.”
