"Ground and air resources will continue to aggressively battle the fire throughout the day," Cal Fire officials said.

Firefighters are working to contain a grass fire that has burned dozens of acres on the southern end of El Dorado County on Wednesday. Cal Fire's incidents webpage shows the Coyote Fire has burned about 60 acres in the Coyoteville area, about 21 miles southeast of Placerville.

The Coyote Fire in El Dorado County has burned 624 acres and is 5% contained, with nearby residents on evacuation alert.
