Carol Lynley, a stage and screen actress who starred in the ``The Poseidon Adventure'' and appeared in numerous other film and television series, has died. She was 77.

Directed by Henry Levin, the film also features Jane Wyman, Jill St. John, Carol Lynley, Paul Henreid, Gary Crosby, Henny Backus, Wally Brown, Gardner McKay and Jose Greco.
