Amazon has announced it will be shutting down its free, ad-supported streaming service, Freevee, over the next several weeks. If you didn’t know, Freevee provides a no-cost platform for viewers to watch movies, TV shows and even live channels.

Despite Freevee's shutdown, its spirit will live on over at Prime Video, as the main Amazon streaming platform will soon offer a "Watch for Free" section that will allow non-Prime subscribers to watch from the platform.

In a move that’s been expected for months, Amazon is sunsetting the ad-supported free streamer and moving its content to Prime Video. It’s time to say farewell to Freevee. The free ad-supported streaming service which offers both live streaming channels and on-demand content is due to be shut down in territories where it’s available in the coming weeks,
