American fifth seed Taylor Fritz had little trouble in reaching his third Wimbledon quarterfinal after Jordan Thompson retired with a thigh injury.

U.S. Open runner-up Taylor Fritz moved into the Wimbledon quarterfinals for the third time in four years on Sunday, advancing when his injured opponent, Jordan Thompson, quit while trailing 6-1, 3-0 after 41 minutes.

Wimbledon Championships have been anything but easy for Taylor Fritz, but he's certainly making his team and fans awfully proud. Fritz kicked off this tournament by erasing a two-set deficit against Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard.
