College football players have asked for an extra year of eligibility as a judge considers whether the "redshirt" rule violates antitrust law.

Five college football players at power-conference schools asked a federal judge on Monday for a preliminary injunction to play a fifth year next season.

Vanderbilt women's basketball moved up one spot to No. 13 in the AP Poll after not playing this week.
