US President Trump is reinstating tariffs, paused for 90 days, as deals with various countries remain elusive. Letters will be sent to nations, outlining tariffs ranging from 10% to potentially 70%, effective August 1st.

After striking only a few trade deals since declaring a 90-day pause in April, President Trump said he would announce new duties starting Friday.

The Republican leader did not elaborate on which countries would be charged how much tariffs, or if the tariffs would be charged at higher rates on certain goods.
