We are watching two systems behind Erin. One, south of Bermuda, is likely to become Tropical Storm Fernand this weekend.
An area of showers and thunderstorms associated with a tropical wave about 100 miles east-northeast of the Northern Leeward Islands is "very likely" to strengthen into a tropical depression or tropical storm over the weekend, the National Hurricane Center said on Friday.
It appears the angry ocean over-performed, as waves on some beaches towered several feet higher than expected.
A wave near the Leeward Islands is likely to develop this weekend, with a 70% chance of becoming a depression. Invest 99L off Africa has a 40% chance. An area near the Azores has a low chance of development.
