Washington, D.C.'s NFL franchise is set to return to the nation's capital as part of an agreement between the organization and the District of Columbia government to build a new stadium.

The development, anchored by a roofed, 65,000-seat stadium, will be funded primarily by the Commanders, who would put up $2.7 billion, while D.C. taxpayers would pay $500 million.

The Commanders agreed to a deal with the District of Columbia to build a new stadium at the RFK site, sources told ESPN.
