The city of Pasadena announced on Thursday that the the American Red Cross evacuation shelter at the Convention Center, opened during the Eaton fire, will remain open another week as teams work

The one-month transition goal for the Red Cross shelter at the Pasadena Convention Center is meant to mark a move to a smaller shelter space.

Red Cross says no closing date has been set, but a new location is being sought near Altadena. The shelter housed as many as 1,140 people at its peak period during the Eaton fire.
