Flash floods in Texas killed at least 82 people over the Fourth of July holiday weekend and left others still missing, including girls attending a summer camp.

Crews trudged through debris and waded into swollen riverbanks Monday in the search for victims of catastrophic flooding over the July Fourth weekend that killed more 80 people in Texas, including more than two dozen campers and counselors from an all-girls Christian camp.

At least 43 people died after heavy rain pounded Kerr County, Texas, early Friday, leading to "catastrophic" flooding, according to officials. Children are among the dead, said Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick, who has taken on the duties of acting governor.
