Iran is assessing the damage and lashing out over the American and Israeli airstrikes that damaged its nuclear sites.

President Trump insisted Monday he wasn’t speaking to Iran and has offered them “nothing” — as he doubled down that the US strikes “totally obliterated” Tehran’s nuclear facilities. Trump lashed out after reports suggested his administration was weighing whether to help Iran access as much as $30 billion to build a civilian-energy-producing nuclear program.

"Khamenei's position is surely weakened," Arash Azizi, who unveiled an alleged plot against the supreme leader, told Newsweek.

The question now is what a shaken Islamic Republic in dire economic straits will do with what Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, a moderate, has called “a golden opportunity for change.”
