Crystal Palace kept up their impressive away form in the Premier League as second half goals from Jean-Philippe Mateta and Marc Guehi handed them a 2-0 win at struggling Leicester City on Wednesday.

"There were a few choice words [from the manager] at half-time," midfielder Will Hughes told club media. "We weren't at the races and were lucky to get in at 0-0 at half-time.

Jean-Philippe Mateta and Marc Guehi struck in the second half as Crystal Palace won 2-0 at Leicester and condemned the Foxes to a sixth straight Premier League defeat. Boos rang around the King Power Stadium at full-time after a result that left Ruud van Nistelrooy’s side still two points from safety.

Two sides competing near the bottom of the Premier League table meet at the King Power Stadium on Wednesday, when Leicester City host Crystal Palace. Both clubs saw off lower-league opposition in the FA Cup third round over the weekend and could do with winning again to move away from relegation trouble.

Leicester City have problems at the back and upfront. The defeat by Crystal Palace is their sixth successive loss in the Premier League and they have conceded two goals in all of those games. They have also failed to score in four of those matches.
