It is such a fun place for kids....My then 8 year old and twin 3 year olds spent the whole summer of 2019 there. It is educational, good exercise, safe and clean. I highly recommend! Full review by Tarpgirl

My grandchildren had a great time at this museum in Poughkeepsie. We spent about 3 hrs trying the various exhibits. Outside we had a great picnic lunch overlooking the Hudson River. Full review by nystraveler295

There is a small area that is devoted to babies. The rest of the museum is great for children who are mobile. Our walking 13 month old had a great time. Younger? Probably not.
There are a number of restaurants along Front Street. I seem to recall seeing a McDonald's not too far away. Sorry I can't be more specific. Too many trips ago lol.
